South Africa: Inaugural Ferrari Fashion Showcase a Celebratory Success

The inaugural Ferrari Fashion Showcase took place on August 6 2014 in Bryanston and boasted a phenomenal guest turn-out. Invitees of Ferrari South Africa, KLûK CGDT and Fabiani, as well as celebrities, the media and fashionistas, all attended the prestigious show, which was a celebration of design excellence and the ‘good life’ — themes which are common between Ferrari and the fashion industry.

 
The wonderful Vanessa Carreira-Coutroulis took to the stage as MC, and further delighted the audience as one of the celebrity models. Lee-Ann Liebenberg was the second celeb model and the crowd erupted as both these beauties — dressed in Ferrari-inspired KLûK CGDT dresses — walked the ultimate design showstopper, the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, down the ramp.

“We were very pleased with the outcome of the Ferrari Fashion Showcase 2014,” says Viglietti CEO, Mervyn Eagles. “It was the first of its kind for Ferrari in South Africa, and the concept was created in order to explore the Ferrari brand in a new context — and with new partners. I think we definitely achieved a new level of Ferrari retrospective!”

The partnership between Malcolm KLûK and Christiaan Gabriel du Toit has certainly been solidified, as the award winning duo pulled out all the stops to integrate into the Ferrari brand. “We always like to associate with the top luxury brands. None more so than Ferrari.” comments Malcolm KLûK.

“We created the two Ferrari-inspired showstoppers as additions to our latest designer range and it all worked very well. For next year, we are looking forward to perhaps creating an entire Ferrari-inspired line.”

Guests who attended the Showcase were not only able to get up close and personal with the designers and models, but also to celebrate the design superiority of the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, as well as the Ferrari 458 Spider, both of which were on display for the duration of the evening.
