Talented Senegalese Designer Diarra Bousso Presents Her 2014 Fall Collection

Diarra Bousso, most commonly known by the initials db, is the designer’s luxury brand focused on high-end couture dresses and premium leather goods in rare skins such us ostrich, iguana and crocodile. The brand celebrates the Senegalese craftsmanship and savoir-faire through unique handmade pieces in original designs. The db bags, most commonly known for their premium skins and gold-pleated subtle logo represent the ultimate piece of luxury made in Africa as carried by celebrities such as Akon.

 

For Fall Winter 2014, the db collection titled ‘Charme Glacé’ explores a frozen array of beaded lace, silk and detailed embroidery. The opulence of ice is discovered through a palette of rich sparkles of grey and dark blue anchored with a few golden pieces to add to the refinement. The bags focus on a mix of premium ostrich skins from South Africa in camel and dark brown tones. This romantic collection exudes a frosted elegance where shimmering charm meets cold subtlety.
