Ghana’s fashion industry may be small, but it is rich with a lot of history, some progressive, some dramatic, some good, some bad, but definitely a resourceful wealth of information that even many of the creatives in Ghana today are unaware of.

I took the opportunity to interview the style twinz, popularly known as the WW Twinz. One of Ghana’s most viral assets. The two beautiful girls who go by the name of Wendy and Wonder have been amongst some of the most viral faces to come out of Ghana on Instagram known for wearing beautiful African print clothes.

The twin girl who might seem very young are actually 25 years of age and have been modelling for over a decade now. In the interview, they explain how their modelling experiences began with a personal trainer assigned to them by their father prior to moving onto Exopa.

Exopa modelling agency was founded by Sima Ibrahim in early 2008. In September 2009 Sima Ibrahim was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) for attempting to carry five kilogrammes of cocaine onto a plane. He was nabbed by operatives of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) just before he boarded a Lufthansa Airline.

The drug bust happened shortly after he had organised Ghana Fashion Weekend, which saw Borris Kudjoe as a special guest. There were a lot of conspiracies around the drug bust and the girls, who were teenagers at the time were giving the opportunity to speak on it. Watch below.
