Vogue’s First Black Editor Interviews His First Ghanaian Cover Star Adwoa Aboah

Adwoa Aboah 25, is a British fashion model and feminist activist and of British and Ghanaian descent. In March 2017, she appeared on the cover of American Vogue with Liu Wen, Ashley Graham, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Imaan Hammam, and Vittoria Ceretti. She has also been on the cover of Vogue Italia and i-D. Adwoa has come a long way since this year begun. She has partnered with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, become the face Marc Jacobs Beauty and her digital initiative Gurls Talk. There’s so much for a model who has got a voice and credibility to be who she is and stand by her belief.

Edward Enninful is a Ghanaian born British fashion stylist, Editor-in-chief of British Vogue magazine. He was appointed fashion director of British fashion magazine i-D at the age of 18, a position he held for over two decades. When Edward Enninful was named the new Editor-in-chief of British Vogue, everyone knew things were about to change. He was not only the first man to get the position but the first gay and first black man. One could see why that was huge.

The highly-anticipated edition is the first under new editor Edward Enninful, the striking cover, was revealed on Tuesday night and featured a close-up of Ghanaian-British model Adwoa Aboah in bright blue eye-shadow and a headscarf.
