Share FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinWhatsappTelegramEmail 524 According to our books, the K-Walk show definitely raised the bar for fashion shows in Africa. Cameroon is a country with a very unique culture, one which can only be fully experienced by living there. Yet it has had little to no exposure as far as it’s fashion is concerned. The K-Walk show took to it’s very own organization to produce a well decorated show with professional models, and great photography and international designers. The first lady of the country Madam Chantal Biya, was in attendance at the front row. As far as fashion goes in Cameroon, this is probably one of the highest esteem guests that could be present. The event took place in the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé, also in the presence of the Senate and the National Assembly. Unfortunately, there were only a handful of designers that showcased and only one of which was from Cameroon, never the less a very good selection. David Tlale from South Africa who got the ball rolling with a right mix of African traditional dress and futuristic designs. Then Ivorian CISS Saint Moses has followed with menswear suit. His designs seduced the public with highly contemporary styling, lavish tunics, and customized with African embroidery. And lastly was Cameroon designer Anna Ngann yonn. The show was fabulous, and one could only wish it had opened more doors to the designers of Cameroon. But maybe that is something that is yet to come in the future. Congratulations to the whole team.
